This Honey glazed Salmon with Fennel Seeds allows you to enhance the flavors of the Salmon at the very beginning of spring. This is thanks to the Honey, Fennel Seeds but also orange and lemon juice by making a point of contact with its tender flesh. The whole is a beautiful combination that will delight all taste buds.

First, here is the list of the different ingredients you will need to prepare this Honey glazed Salmon with Fennel Seeds that serves 6 People

  • 1.2 kg or 2,5 lb whole salmon with its skin
  • 1 organic orange and 1 organic lemon
  • 2 tbsp  honey
  • 1 tbsp  fennel seeds
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Fleur de sel, pepper from the mill and fresh dill

Now, here are the few steps you will need to follow to make this Honey glazed Salmon with Fennel Seeds with a 10 minutes preparation time and a 35 to 45 minutes cooking time

In a bowl, mix the chopped garlic, the zest of the lemon and the orange, the fennel seeds, the juice of the orange and lemon and the honey. Salt and pepper.

Place the salmon in a deep dish and marinate it with this preparation and under cling film for 2 hours in the refrigerator, turning it once.

Preheat the oven to 80 °C or  176°F. Pour the marinade into a saucepan and reduce over high heat until it becomes a little syrupy.

Line a baking tray with baking paper, place the salmon skin side down and brush it with marinade before putting it in the oven for 35 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the fish. Adjust as desired and serve immediately.

Tip: You can measure the core temperature of the fish using a probe. For pearly cooking, it should be 45°C or 113°F For medium cooking, it should be 54°C or 129,2°F.
