- 1 cup Banana, mashed
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp each baking powder and salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup cooled melted butter or vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sour cream or buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Now here are the few steps you will need to follow to make the Banana Chocolate Chip Bread
First, preheat the oven to 160°C (350°F).Then, lightly butter and dust with flour a standard loaf pan or three mini loaf pans.
Mix flour, sugar baking powder, salt and baking soda in a large bowl. Add your chocolate chips. (Dry Mixture).
In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, melted butter or vegetable oil, the yogurt or sour cream and the vanilla extract. (Wet mixture). Stir your mashed bananas into the wet mixture, then add the dry mixture until just combined.
Spread the batter in the prepared loaf pan(s) and bake about 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. if you choose the mini pans reduce the baking time to 45 minutes.
Cool 30 minutes in the pan on a rack, then turn out onto the rack to cool completely.
