This Apple Millefeuille is one of my favorite apple dessert. Apples pair well with nuts, other fruits and sweet spices. Now, the best way to core and peel apples for this recipe is with a corer and peeled with a sharp paring knife.
First, here is the list of the different ingredients you will need to make the Apple Millefeuille that serves 4 to 6
- 5 Apples, Granny Smith type
- 20 g ( 1 Tbsp) butter
- 40 g ( 2 Tbsp) sugar
Now, here are the few steps you will need to follow to make the Apple Mille Feuille
First, preheat your oven to 120°C ( 248°F). Start by Slicing the Granny Smith apples with a Mandolin after having them cored and peeled. Place in a big salad bowl and spread with lemon juice.
Then, Stack them in layers in a buttered terrine with the sugar, that you spread between the different layers of apples.
After that, bake your apple terrine for 3 hours at low temperature in a water bath in your oven. After that, let stand for 24 hours.
Through the action of pectin, we obtain a jellyfied and melting terrine…
When ready, take the terrine out of the tin and serve sliced, as is or with a vanilla custard if you like.
