This Kiwis Clafoutis is a baked French dessert with a flan-like batter covering fresh fruits. Here Kiwis are used and it is for the best. It can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
First, here is the list of the different ingredients you will need to make the Kiwis Clafoutis that serves 4
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 free range eggs
- 1 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 5 to 6 kiwis depending of the size
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
Now, here are the few steps you will have to follow to make the Kiwis Clafoutis with a 25 to 30 minutes baking time
Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Brush the baking dish with melted butter and sprinkle some caster sugar into the dish. Turn the dish around and shake it, to coat the bottom and side evenly.
Then, peel the kiwis, and cut them in thick slices. Spread the kiwi slices in an even layer over the bottom of your dish.
Gradually, wisk well and constantly the eggs with the sugar the cream and finally add gradually the flour. Continue whisking to make a smooth batter.
Just before baking, pour the mixture on top of the kiwis and bake your clafoutis in a medium heated oven for 35 to 45 mn. Your clafoutis has to turn golden brown.
Just before serving, sift icing sugar over the top and serve warm or at room temperature.
